The Faith of Barack Obama { 3 }

One of my favorite corporate blogs is by Michael Hyatt of Thomas Nelson Publishers. As the CEO of a Christian publishing company, you would expect to get little more than posts about books they publish and other Christian books.

You would be surprised.

That said, this post is about a book they published about the faith of Barack Obama, which is uniquely titled The Faith of Barack Obama.

At the first of the month, Hyatt offered the book up for review to bloggers. In that post, he explained “five reasons why I think The Faith of Barack Obama is important.”

They were (in abbreviated form, but go read the full post):

  1. The book explains Obama’s drive and vision for America.
  2. The book counters many of the myths about Obama’s faith.
  3. The book explores the difficult aspects of Obama’s faith.
  4. The book provides a window into contemporary Christian culture.
  5. The book provides a new model for public discourse.

Yesterday, Hyatt put together a list of bloggers who reviewed the book. I’ve not checked out the reviews yet, but needless to say I will.

Hyatt’s original post is a good read, and I highly recommend it. I highly recommend subscribing to his blog as well.
